[Case] Deployment of Japanese Content Merchandise at Major U.S. Retailer Box Lunch
MAG.NET entered into strategic alliance agreement with Box Lunch, a major retail chain in the United States, to realize the deployment of goods based on Japanese manga, anime, and illustrator content within their stores.
In this project, our company took charge of product planning and manufacturing, while Box Lunch handled the retail operations. Both companies jointly selected content and developed a product lineup optimized to meet the needs of local fans. This was Box Lunch’s first such initiative, and the project was driven by a shared desire to respond to the increasing demand for Japanese manga content merchandise across the U.S.
As of 2025, the deployment is planned for 11 stores nationwide, with further expansion of store locations anticipated in the future.
This case demonstrates our ability to provide an end-to-end support system from planning and manufacturing to local distribution and retail, as well as the potential for creating new markets through collaboration with local partners.
